Converting Biblio files created with v1.1 or earlier to support the APA standard

You asked for it, and now you have it! Due to an overwhelming response from our users, this latest pre-release of Biblio2 now supports both the MLA and the APA standard format for bibliographies, making Biblio the ultimate reference tool! The modifications include:

The files created with previous versions of Biblio will work in this release. However, if a user wants to take advantage of the new APA formatting features, a few steps must be taken to convert.

The following are step-by-step instructions to upgrade your current files to properly use APA:

1. Double-click on the first reference in the References Window (the left window). The Edit Reference Window will appear.

2. Because the APA format requires additional information not needed by the MLA format, the Edit Reference Window may have some required fields that are empty. Enter in the necessary information.

3. Capitalize the titles of articles and references as described above.

4. Press the OK button. The reference has now been updated to support the APA format.

5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for each reference in the file.

If you do not wish to use the APA format for files already created, you do not need to update the references. However, if you edit a reference's information, you may be required to enter additional information not previously needed for the MLA standard.
